MN State Fair: Luigi Fries

This is a State Fair Staple (SFS) for us. Our Fair experience is not complete without a stop at Luigi Fries for...Luigi Fries ($6.00), North side of Carnes Ave. between Chambers & Nelson streets, across from the DNR Building. Essentially these are Olive Garden breadsticks on acid. The perfect amount of melted cheese, the perfect amount of marinara sauce for dipping. We opted for a small glass of kiwi strawberry Crystal Light that did not disappoint.

Evan: These are consistently a 3. Jules: Is there a 1 on our scale? Evan: Yes, anything from, let's say, Burger King, would be considered a 1.

Jules: Is there a 0 ?

Evan: Yes.

Jules: I think Little Ceasars Pizza is a 0.

Evan: Agree.

Final Review:

3 out of 4 stars

Can be enjoyed by 1 person--equivalent to 1 1/2 slices of pizza. Unique feature- the non-enzymatic browning of the cheese that deepens the flavor.
